English summary
Thanks for your interest. Our project in oriented primarily on Russian audience, but we have some words about it in English — both for visitors and our foreign partners.
«MuzEnergoTour» is a travelling festival, which was started in 2013 to literally connect two «settled» (standard) Russian festivals: the 15th «MuzEnergo» International Honest Music Festival (Dubna, Moscow Region) and the 15th «Ustuu-Huree» festival of live music and faith (Chadan, Republic of Tuva). Till that moment they only had their principles in common: independence from famous names and artistic lobby, openness to new experience, non-standard organization (both are free for visitors, both gather thousands of people, both features onstage the stylistically surprising ensembles from unexpected corners of the world) . In 2013, both festivals were connected by «MuzEnergoTour», which brought musicians, cameramen, technicians, journalists and the positive energy of tens of thousands listeners from one to the other.
The solution was simple and stunning in the same time. Several ensembles gather in Dubna, perform at the «MuzEnergo» and then get on the bus and start to ride few hundreds kilometers daily towards Siberia. Musicians finally covered over 7.500 kilometers in 2013 within almost a month of travel crossing the Volga, Irtysh and Yenisei rivers, Urals and the Sayan mountains and the border of Europe and Asia — and in 2014 the figures were much more impressive, over 10.000 kms one way. Almost daily bus stopped at big cities and small towns on its way, and then the festival gigs were being performed. As a result, each city received a large one-day concert event (which may be nominated for the cultural event of the year in the region) – and also new relationships with partners, and particular prospects of long-term cooperation in the field of cultural promotion.
It is traditionally considered in Russia that the middle of the summer is «the dead season», that improvisational music is «not for everyone» and that the regional audience is «not ready for it». The point is that we do not think so. Furthermore, those who agreed to participate in the tour don’t think so, too. Every day we presented to the audience five to ten (!) various groups — from quiet to loud avant-garde, from prog-rock to bard-folk, from Latin jazz accompanied by live video-art to modern chamber music. Just two completed projects already feature soloists and ensembles from Brazil, Chile, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Finland, France, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, and USA. Their names were hardly familiar to the average Russian listener, but some of them have already played in the Russian Philharmonics and surprised the audience as well as Philharmonics themselves (because these unknown musicians gathered full houses). This is the approach of «MuzEnergoTour»: we do not count on the interest of listeners to the names that are already famous and predictable, and we are not interested in providing successful stars with work. Instead of that, we present musicians whose eyes shine because of the opportunity to travel to Russian far far away for completely new listeners — as the true artist’s eyes should shine.
We filmed and recorded both out tours and we’re working now on the movie about it. Because sooner or later, it will be clear that more than ten thousand spectators it’s still not enough.
You need figures? Just in two years: 17.500 kms and over 70 days in the bus, 70.000+ audience at 53 full-scale gigs performed in 36 cities, towns and villages of Russia, more than 100 musicians from 16 countries involved, more than 500 mass media coverages and presentations.
And just some names and venues, of course.

Some sweet memories of tour 2013…
…and the full-scale diary of 2014
What’s next?
In 2015, MuzEnergoTour-III will be done from June 12 till August 30, for 2.5 monthes. Almost the same route will be started in Dubna and will lead us as far as to Vladivostok, to the Pacific Ocean (from Moscow to almost Japan, hey!).
In 2015, artistic conception will be slightly different from 2013-2014 when we just invited people ready to collaborate and improvise onstage but didn’t really pressed them to do so. In 2015, the concert’s architecture will be stable. We’ll have 4-7 bands in each given concert with their own programs which do or doesn not provide possible guest collaboration. In addition, we’ll have 3-5 soloists who will form the so called MuzEnergoBand, an open form ensemble ready to play arranged and/or free music proposed by tour’s musical director. Thus, MuzEnergoTour-2015 will be able to satisfy any of circumstances to be met: 2 hour of program in small venue of 8 hours of program at open-air festival, that doesn’t matter. Permanently changing and challenging onsage collaboration of high-level improvisers of very different countries, education, styles and age — this is the key to probably the most interesting cultural journey we can imagine.
